What's the term for a scientific theory that we know is wrong to some extent, but that is still used for practical purposes because it's easy to work with and good enough for most uses?

I was thinking I came across a specific term for like Newtonian physics where we know we have a better theory but still use it because it's easier to deal with.
But I think I was wrong, yeah, model would work.
