"She's a spy, she must die"

I cannot lie.
I stole the pie.
Ooh, how I try.
I pray to the sky.
But I fall to the call of the pie.

There's no 21st century timezone, because there simply are no wars in the 21st century. Right?

This is why I always look both ways when exiting a room.

:tardis: S6E39: The War Games (5)

This guy gives off a lot of proto-master vibes.

:tardis: S6E39: The War Games (5)

Is there a Big Finish series called The War War Chief featuring this guy's escapades during the Time War?

:tardis: S6E39: The War Games (5)

THEY'RE DEAD FOR REAL THIS TIME!?

No, but the cliffhangers were good, but it's all a bit, you know, samey now.

You know it's high tech when the doors are obnoxiously loud, that's how we know we're not in the future yet, our doors are too quiet.

:tardis: S6E40: The War Games (6)

No, mate, your first responsiblity is to security. 'security first' You're literally a Security Chief.

:tardis: S6E40: The War Games (6)

It's all very confusing that the War Chief is not a War Lord, who thought that was a good idea?

:tardis: S6E40: The War Games (6)

That coat isn't that great, it's too baggy.

:tardis: S6E40: The War Games (6)

Yo Star Wars totally ripped this off, let's get the BBC to sue George Lucas. And maybe Disney?

:tardis: S6E39: The War Games (5)

@kurt A very effective hiding place, clearly!

:tardis: S6E39: The War Games (5)

@mindfog You might as well just stand in the middle of the hallway at that point.

:tardis: S6E40: The War Games (6)

@kurt At least *the* War Lord is *a* War Lord.

:tardis: S6E40: The War Games (6)

@Alexis Err, aren't they a Time Chief?

:tardis: S6E40: The War Games (6)

@kurt I have neither the time nor the war to keep this straight.

:tardis: S6E40: The War Games (6)

@kurt Yeah, doesn't suit him, he looks... employed. #TARDISclub

:tardis: S6E39: The War Games (5)

@kurt In two novelisations and some later War Chief stories he /is/ an early incarnation of the Master, though he doesn't typically come up from the Master's perspective.

:tardis: S6E39: The War Games (5)

@Alexis I wonder if behind the scenes they at all considered bringing this one back or if he was an inspiration for introducing the Master.

:tardis: S6E39: The War Games (5)

@kurt The Monk, the Toymaker, and the War Chief all sort of lead up to the Master -- I don't think he happens without that journey.

But if the character was *explicitly* inspired by or meant to be a replacement or stand-in for the War Chief, I've never heard.

:tardis: S6E39: The War Games (5)

@Alexis Maybe he's an incarnation of the timeless child.
